NQA logoAV specialist and digital media service provider Impact, today announced that it has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS). The company was already certified under ISO 9001: 2000 standard.

The qualification, granted by the NQA, is an internationally recognised standard. It provides companies with a framework and set of principles that ensure a common sense approach to the management of business activities to consistently achieve customer satisfaction.

NQA is an assessment, verification and certification body and works in partnership with a wide range of businesses, government departments and charitable organisations to help improve performance in quality, environment and health and safety management.

Technical innovation has revolutionised the wide sector of manufacturing and processing over the past 20-30 years. The control of change and standardised methods of working are therefore vital. The management systems standard ISO 9001:2008 ensures such consistency of approach and drives efficiency forward.

ISO 9001 is underpinned by eight management principles:

  •  customer focused
  •  organisation leadership
  •  involvement of people
  •  ensuring a process approach
  •  a systematic approach to management
  •  a factual approach to decision making
  •  mutually beneficial supplier relations
  •  continuous improvement

Impact is working towards certifications for information security (ISO 27001), IT service management (ISO 20000), health and safety (18001) and the environmental management systems (ISO 14001) to the standard, leading the way on internationally recognised certifications.
