Beyond Lecture Capture looks at what makes a true campus-wide recording system and moreover how this technology can not only be used to record lectures, but to create a media-rich resource for assessing practical assignments, role play scenarios and best practice.

The event will address the challenge faced by universities in how significant amounts of video content is securely stored, efficiently managed and distributed, this session will cover:

• Video acquisition
• Network distribution
• Content management / archiving
• Multi format distribution
• Security and copyright protection
• Lecture capture as a revenue stream

As a mix of open debate, case study and live demonstration, this is an opportunity to share combined experience and really influence how this exciting technology can develop beyond lecture capture.

BY CAR
From the exit of J1 of M3 take the A308/Staines Rd W heading toward Staines. At the third set of traffic lights turn left at A244/Windmill Rd. Continue along the A244/Windmill Rd and at the second set of traffic lights turn left in to Windmill Rd W, follow the road until you see the Impact building ahead of you.

BY TRAIN
Upper Halliford is the closest station to the Impact offices and approximately 40 minutes from London Waterloo and the Impact offices is a 5-minute walk from Upper Halliford station.

On leaving the station turn right and then sharp left following the footpath to the main road. Turn left onto Windmill Road and follow the road over the M3 motorway. On the left is a walk way down to Windmill Road West, at the bottom of the walkway turn right and follow the road until you see the Impact building ahead of you.
